This page explains how ConsumerArena researches, writes and updates its content, so you can judge how much to trust it.
1. Specifications come first
For every product we first prepare a specification sheet. The review is written only after that, and it is checked against the sheet. A review never contradicts the specifications we publish.
2. Where our information comes from
Specifications, launch details and prices are taken from official Indian brand websites and official India sources, and from leading Indian online retailers. We do not use overseas versions of a product, because models, features and prices often differ in India.
3. If we cannot verify it, we leave it out
We never invent a figure, a model number or a launch date. When a detail cannot be confirmed from reliable Indian sources, that field is left empty rather than filled with a guess.
4. Prices
We show the current selling price of the product itself, in rupees. We do not show bank offers, cashback, exchange or coupon prices, because these change often and are not the same for everyone. For cars and two-wheelers we show the ex-showroom price from the official Indian website. Prices change quickly, so please check the final price with the seller before you buy. We refresh prices regularly, and the date of the last check is kept on our records.
5. Ratings and verdicts
Each review ends with a rating and a verdict that weigh features, build, value for money and how the product fits real Indian use. Where useful, we include the opinion of real buyers, but only when the feedback is consistent across more than one source or based on a large number of reviews. Otherwise we leave buyer opinion out.
6. Independence
Brands do not pay for our reviews and cannot change our ratings. See our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
7. Updates and corrections
We update pages when specifications, availability or prices change. If you find a mistake, tell us at info@consumerarena.in and read our Corrections policy.
