Quick Summary

The M15 is D-Link's affordable Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, sold in India as a two-unit pack under the EAGLE PRO AI name. It is built for homes where a single router leaves weak corners, and it promises coverage of up to 370 square metres from the pair. At around ₹4,499 for the 2-pack it undercuts most mesh systems. The strength is price for coverage; the compromises are an AX1500 speed class and only one spare LAN port per unit.

Design & Build Quality

Each M15 unit is a small white box with embedded antennas, so there is nothing to bend, snap or lose. The look is plain and unfussy, which helps when one unit sits in a hall and the other in a bedroom. The units have a WPS button and a reset button, and no USB port. The simple build suits a mesh node that is meant to blend into the background.

Coverage & Everyday Performance

The M15 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 system. The 5 GHz band is the quick one for streaming, calls and downloads, while the 2.4 GHz band is the slower, longer-reaching band for smart-home gadgets and older devices. Wi-Fi 6 features such as MU-MIMO and OFDMA help the system share the connection among many devices at once, and D-Link says it supports up to 128 devices. The real benefit of the second unit is that the signal does not have to travel through as many walls to reach you. One caution: dual-band mesh systems use the same two bands to talk to each other and to your devices, so the speed you see at the far node will usually be lower than at the router unit. For flats and medium homes with a few dead spots, that trade-off is perfectly reasonable. For heavy 4K streaming or gaming at the farthest corner, a tri-band system would be the better route.

Wired Connections

Each unit has one Gigabit WAN port and one Gigabit LAN port. That is enough to connect the main unit to your modem and then wire a single device, but it is stingy if you want to plug in a TV, a console and a desktop at the same spot. A small network switch solves it, at extra cost.

Software, App & AI Features

Setup and management run through the EAGLE PRO AI app. The AI assistant sends recommendations and reports, and the AI optimisers choose a better Wi-Fi channel and prioritise important traffic. You can turn the automatic features off if you prefer. Alexa and Google Assistant voice control are supported, and the system includes guest access and profile-based parental controls with website blocking and schedules. Think of the AI branding as an easier way to manage the network rather than a different kind of hardware.

Security

The M15 supports WPA3 encryption and states compliance with the IEC 62443-4-1 security-development standard. It is MTCTE certified, which is required for telecom equipment sold in India. Guest access keeps visitors off your main network.

Features Assessment

The practical features are the ones a family uses: a guest network, parental controls, app-based setup and seamless roaming between the two units. The option to add D-Link E15 extenders gives room to grow if the home is larger than the pack covers. Missing are a USB port, a dedicated backhaul band and any 6 GHz support, all of which are normal omissions in this class.

Ease of Use

Installation is meant to be simple: connect the main unit to the modem, place the second unit within range, and follow the app. Day-to-day management, such as setting bedtime schedules for a child's devices or creating a guest login, happens in the same app. Users who like to dig into advanced router settings may find the system keeps things simple.

Value for Money

At around ₹4,499 for the two-unit pack on both Amazon.in and Flipkart, the M15 is one of the cheaper ways to get Wi-Fi 6 mesh coverage in India. The price per node is lower than the cost of many single Wi-Fi 6 routers, and the pair is claimed to cover up to 370 square metres. The value case is strongest for homes of two or three bedrooms and a few dead zones. It weakens for people who want the fastest links, since the AX1500 class tops out at 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.

Who Should Buy It?

Households in medium-sized flats or two-storey homes where one router does not reach every room will find the M15 a budget-friendly fix. It also suits families who want guest access and parental controls without spending on a premium mesh system.

Who Should Consider Alternatives?

Anyone who needs several wired ports at each node, a USB port, or the highest speeds at the far end of a large home should look at a tri-band or higher-class mesh system. Gamers and people with gigabit fibre plans who want the best wireless results should also step up to a more powerful model.

Pros

  • Two-node Wi-Fi 6 mesh at a modest cost
  • Claimed coverage up to 370 square metres
  • Wi-Fi 6 features with WPA3 security
  • App-based setup with AI optimisation tools
  • Guest network and parental controls included

Cons

  • Only one spare LAN port per unit
  • 2.4 GHz band limited to 300 Mbps
  • No USB port on either unit
  • Dual-band design shares airtime between links

Editorial Verdict

The D-Link M15 is a budget-friendly way to bring Wi-Fi 6 mesh coverage to a medium-sized Indian home. The two-unit pack is claimed to cover up to 370 square metres, and it adds guest access, parental controls, WPA3 security and voice-assistant support through one easy app. For flats and two-storey homes with a few dead zones, that combination solves the common problem of a router that cannot reach every room. The limits are clear. Each unit has only one spare Gigabit LAN port, there is no USB port, and the dual-band design means the second unit shares airtime with your devices, so the signal at the far end will not match the main unit. The AX1500 class also caps 2.4 GHz at 300 Mbps. It is not the system for heavy gamers, large homes with thick walls or anyone who wants several wired connections in each room. Buy it if your priority is stable coverage across a modest space for the least money. Choose a tri-band or higher-class mesh system if speed at the farthest corner matters most.
