Quick Summary

The Cheetah 2 Pro is Amazfit's more compact premium running watch, and it is a very good one. A titanium case, sapphire glass, dual-band GPS and offline maps come in a 48 mm body that weighs under 46 g. At ₹41,999 it costs a lot, and its smart features are basic, but for runners who want serious navigation and training tools without a heavy watch, it is an easy recommendation. It trades some battery and screen size for a lighter feel, which most runners will happily accept.

Design & Build Quality

The Pro is a pleasure to wear. The case is Grade 5 titanium with sapphire glass on top, yet the watch weighs just 45.6 g without the strap, lighter than many plastic smartwatches. The bezel is plastic, a small step down from the metal look elsewhere, and the 20 mm silicone strap is comfortable though plain.

Four buttons make it easy to start, pause and navigate with sweaty hands, and the 5 ATM rating covers swimming and monsoon runs. A dual-colour flashlight with a red mode is genuinely useful for early or late sessions. At 48 mm, the case is large enough to read easily, though smaller wrists will notice it. The strap fastens with a classic pin buckle, which is secure and easy to adjust, and it stays put through hard intervals.

Display

The 1.32-inch AMOLED panel is sharp at 466 × 466 pixels, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits keeps it readable under direct sun. The screen is smaller than on the Ultra, but it is the right size for a 48 mm watch, and the always-on mode is handy mid-run.

GPS, Maps & Navigation

Dual-band GPS with six satellite systems is designed to keep a clean track in cities and under tree cover. Offline maps can be imported, with turn-by-turn navigation, automatic rerouting, points-of-interest search and course import, which together make it a capable route companion. The 32 GB of storage leaves enough room for several regions of maps, so you can load a route before a trip and leave the phone behind.

Health & Training Tools

The training tools are comprehensive. VO2 max, training load, lactate threshold, finish-time prediction and running power sit alongside structured Zepp Coach plans, and Runna and TrainingPeaks plans can be imported. Heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature and sleep tracking work around the clock. These are wellness readings, best for spotting trends, and accuracy will depend on a snug fit.

Battery Life & Charging

The 540 mAh battery is rated for up to 20 days of typical use and about 10 days of heavy use. In accurate GPS mode the figure drops to around 31 hours, and power-saving GPS modes stretch it further. That is enough for a weekend of long runs without worrying. The cable is not supplied in the box, so plan to buy one.

Features Assessment

Features are tuned for runners rather than for general smartphone use, and that focus shows in how little clutter the watch carries. You get calling, notifications and Wi-Fi, but the app ecosystem is thin. What matters in practice is that the training tools, navigation and battery all work together without fuss, and they do.

Ease of Use

Setup through the Zepp app is easy on both Android and iPhone, and the four buttons keep operation simple during exercise. The menus are fast and clear, and syncing completed workouts to popular running apps takes only a few taps. The large number of training options takes a little time to explore, but the defaults work well from day one.

Value for Money

At ₹41,999, the Cheetah 2 Pro is priced well below the Ultra while keeping titanium, sapphire glass and dual-band GPS. You give up some battery and screen size, but gain a lighter watch. For runners, that is the better deal, though anyone who does not need navigation should consider cheaper fitness watches.

Who Should Buy It?

Choose the Pro if you run regularly, follow routes, and want a light, durable watch with a good battery. It suits road runners and weekend trail runners who want strong tools without Ultra pricing.

Who Should Consider Alternatives?

Casual exercisers and people who want a feature-rich smartwatch for apps and payments should look elsewhere. If you need the longest possible battery or the largest screen, the Cheetah 2 Ultra is the better fit. Those on a tight budget will find capable watches at a fraction of the cost, and people who rarely run outdoors will not use the navigation that justifies this price.

Pros

  • Light titanium case with sapphire glass. Weighs just 45.6 g without the strap.
  • Dual-band GPS with six satellite systems. Built for reliable tracking.
  • Offline maps with rerouting and course import. Great for route running.
  • Battery rated for 20 days. Lasts a full weekend of long runs.
  • Deep training tools. Includes running power and lactate threshold.
  • Bright, sharp AMOLED display. Readable in harsh sunlight.
  • Built-in flashlight with red mode. Useful for early or late runs.

Cons

  • High price for most people. Costs far more than mainstream watches.
  • Smaller 1.32-inch screen than the Ultra. Less room for maps.

  • Smart features stay basic. App choice is limited.
  • Plastic bezel on a premium watch. Less polished than metal.

Editorial Verdict

The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is a focused running watch that gets almost everything important right. Its titanium case, sapphire glass and low weight make it comfortable for long sessions, while dual-band GPS and offline maps with rerouting give it navigation skills that are rare in a watch this size. Training tools such as running power, lactate threshold and finish-time prediction add depth for those following a plan, and a rated 20-day battery means fewer charging worries. The compromises are real. The price is high, the screen is smaller than on the Ultra, the bezel is plastic, the charging cable is not included, and the smart features are basic. Over two or three years, the titanium and sapphire construction should hold up well to daily wear, though the strap will need replacing with heavy use. It is best for regular runners and weekend trail users who want strong tools without the Ultra price. We rate it 4.3 overall, because its GPS, tools and comfort outweigh the price and limited smart extras.
