Quick Summary
The HP OmniBook 3 16-bu0273TU is the high-end version of a familiar everyday laptop. It pairs the 16-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285H with 16 GB of DDR5 memory, a 1 TB SSD and a vivid 16-inch OLED screen in an aluminium body. Battery size, Wi-Fi 7 and charger are all a step above the usual OmniBook. It is a quick, polished all-rounder, though it carries a premium price and relies on integrated graphics.
Design & Build Quality
Unlike the plastic-and-paint OmniBook 3 models, this one has a glacier silver aluminium body with an anodized cover and base. It feels more solid and looks smarter, with a matte-painted keyboard frame. At 1.64 kg and about 15 mm thick it is on the heavier side for a 16-inch machine, but the slim edge-to-edge design keeps it manageable.
The keyboard keycaps use recycled plastic, and the laptop is ENERGY STAR certified. A backlit full-size keyboard with number pad makes it practical for long work sessions, including in dim rooms.
Display
The 16-inch 2K OLED panel is the best part of the machine. It runs at 1920 x 1200 pixels in a 16:10 shape, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a 0.2 ms response time. Colours look rich, blacks look deep and video looks excellent, with Low Blue Light for long viewing.
Peak brightness is rated at 300 nits, so it is more comfortable indoors than in direct sunlight. The glossy BrightView finish also means reflections in bright rooms. Still, for video, photos and everyday work this is a far more pleasing screen than the IPS panels on the cheaper models.
Everyday Performance
The Core Ultra 9 285H has 16 cores and boosts up to 5.4 GHz, and it is paired with 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB Gen4 SSD. Multitasking, large spreadsheets, photo editing and video calls all run comfortably, and the 13 TOPS NPU supports Windows AI features.
The one gap is graphics. Intel integrated graphics handle everyday visuals and light creative work, but demanding games and heavy 3D or video rendering are better left to laptops with dedicated GPUs.
Battery Life & Charging
A 68 Wh battery is a big step up from the 41 Wh packs in the smaller OmniBooks. HP claims up to 17 hours 45 minutes on its benchmark and up to 24 hours 45 minutes of video playback. A full working day on a charge looks realistic. A 100 W USB-C GaN adapter charges the laptop to about 50% in 45 minutes when it is shut down.
Connectivity & Ports
Two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and a headphone/microphone jack cover most needs. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 give this model up-to-date wireless standards, which will help with fast networks and newer accessories.
Features Assessment
The 1080p IR camera with a physical shutter and face login is useful for calls and quick sign-in. The Copilot key and the NPU add convenience for Windows AI tools, the mic mute key makes meetings easier and the backlit keyboard is a welcome touch. Dual speakers are fine for calls and casual media, though they will not match the quality of the screen.
Ease of Use
Windows 11 Home is ready from the first start. The layout is familiar, the large Imagepad is accurate and the physical controls for the microphone and camera are simple. Trial software such as McAfee is included and can be removed if you do not want it.
Value for Money
Currently available at about ₹1,69,999 in India, this is a premium configuration. You get a powerful Core Ultra 9 processor, 16 GB of memory, 1 TB of storage, an OLED screen, Wi-Fi 7 and a large battery. It performs well, but at this money many buyers can find laptops with dedicated graphics, brighter displays or more ports and expandability. The price is the main thing to weigh carefully.
Who Should Buy It?
Professionals who want a large, good-looking screen and strong performance for multitasking, presentations and light creative work will enjoy this laptop. It suits buyers who value a premium aluminium build, long battery life and up-to-date wireless in an HP machine with nationwide support.
Who Should Consider Alternatives?
Gamers and creators who need dedicated graphics should look at laptops with a discrete GPU. Buyers who want a brighter screen for outdoor use, a lighter body or more value for money will find options elsewhere in the same price bracket.

Overall ConsumerArena Rating
Very good
How we rated it
Aluminium body with a clean, solid look, though 1.64 kg is not light
Rich 100% DCI-P3 OLED, held back slightly by 300 nits and glossy finish
16-core processor, 16 GB memory and Gen4 SSD; graphics are integrated only
68 Wh pack with long claimed life and 100 W fast charging
Wi-Fi 7, backlit keyboard, IR camera with shutter and Copilot key
Premium price for what is still an integrated-graphics laptop
Editorial Verdict
The HP OmniBook 3 16-bu0273TU shows what this range can be when HP removes the usual compromises. The aluminium body feels better built, the 16-inch OLED panel looks lovely for video, photos and daily work, and the 16-core Core Ultra 9 processor with 16 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD keeps everything moving quickly. A large 68 Wh battery, a 100 W USB-C charger, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 give it good everyday staying power and room to grow. The camera with a privacy shutter, face login and backlit keyboard round out a very complete package for office and study. It is not perfect. Graphics are integrated, so serious gaming and heavy 3D work are off the table, brightness is only moderate, the glossy screen can reflect light, and at 1.64 kg it is not a featherweight. Because the cost is also considerable, it will suit buyers who truly want the polish, the display and the battery life. If you do, it is an excellent all-rounder. If you do not, cheaper rivals are worth a look.
