Quick Summary
The ROG Swift PG27AQDM is ASUS's QHD OLED gaming monitor for players who want speed and deep blacks in one screen. It pairs a 240 Hz refresh rate with a 0.03 ms response time on a 26.5-inch panel, and the combination makes fast games feel clean and sharply drawn. The compromises are the lack of speakers, the usual OLED care that comes with static content, and a price that sits well above ordinary gaming monitors. It is currently sold at around ₹81,849.
Design & Build Quality
The monitor looks like a ROG product should: a dark, angular stand, thin borders around the screen and an RGB lighting effect that is there if you want it. The anti-glare surface keeps reflections under control, which matters on an OLED where a bright room can otherwise lift the blacks. At 6.9 kg with the stand it is solid without being cumbersome, and the stand gives you the adjustments gamers actually use: up to 11 cm of height, tilt, swivel and a rotate-to-portrait option. A 100 × 100 mm VESA mount is available for arms.
The thin panel is only about 5 cm deep without the stand, which makes the screen look almost floating on a clean desk. There are no built-in speakers, a decision that keeps the chassis simple but means you will need a headset or desktop speakers from day one.
Display Quality
This is where the monitor justifies its price. OLED panels light each pixel on their own, so blacks are truly black and contrast looks immediate. Dark scenes in games, space scenes and night-time city views gain depth that a regular LCD cannot match. The panel covers 99% of DCI-P3 and runs in 10-bit colour, and colour accuracy is factory-tuned to a Delta E below 2, so colours look rich and believable in both games and video.
The speed is just as impressive. A 0.03 ms response time means very little smearing behind moving objects, and a 240 Hz refresh rate keeps motion smooth and responsive in competitive shooters and racing games. Adaptive-Sync is supported to reduce screen tearing, and the monitor carries VESA's 240 Hz AdaptiveSync certification. HDR peaks at 1,000 nits in small highlights, so the effect is dramatic on explosions, sunlight and neon without turning whole screens into glare.
The 26.5-inch size is a good match for QHD resolution. It is sharp enough for text and everyday windows, while being small enough that you can see the whole screen at normal desk distance, which most competitive players prefer. If you want a larger canvas or a 4K image, this is not that monitor.
Gaming Features
The ROG toolbox is complete and useful rather than flashy. Shadow Boost lifts detail in dark corners so you can spot opponents, GameFast Input aims to reduce delay between your mouse and the screen, and GamePlus adds crosshair and timer overlays. Aspect Control lets you run games at smaller sizes if you prefer. DisplayWidget Center gives you mouse-driven access to menus instead of fiddling with the buttons behind the panel.
OLED Care and Everyday Use
OLED displays can suffer from image retention if the same bright elements stay on screen for many hours. ASUS includes an OLED Care feature set to help manage that, and in practice the sensible habits are the usual ones: let the screen sleep when you step away, avoid leaving a static window at full brightness all day and vary your wallpaper. For mixed use that includes spreadsheets and long documents, an LCD may suit you better. For a gaming and entertainment screen, the experience is excellent.
Features Assessment
Connectivity is practical rather than extravagant. There is one DisplayPort 1.4 input for a gaming PC at full speed and two HDMI 2.0 ports for a console or a second device, plus a headphone jack and a pair of USB 3.2 ports for accessories. Eye-care certifications for flicker-free and low blue light are included, and the hardware-based blue light approach is a nice touch for long sessions. There is no USB-C video input, which is worth noting if you plan to connect a laptop with a single cable.
Ease of Use
Setup is straightforward: connect the DisplayPort cable from the box, set the refresh rate to 240 Hz in your graphics settings and you are playing. The on-screen menu is logical and the DisplayWidget software makes it easier. Console owners should keep in mind that the HDMI 2.0 ports support high refresh rates only up to a limit, so the full 240 Hz is best used from a PC over DisplayPort.
Value for Money
At around ₹81,849 on Amazon.in, the PG27AQDM is a premium purchase. It costs several times as much as a decent IPS gaming monitor, and what you are buying is the OLED experience: the deepest blacks, extraordinary motion clarity and strong HDR. For a dedicated gamer who plays in a dim room and cares about image quality, it is a very good use of money. If you play in a bright room, run static workloads for hours or are simply looking for a budget gaming screen, a good IPS panel gives you most of the speed for far less. The three-year warranty reduces the risk of a high-priced OLED purchase.
Who Should Buy It?
Competitive and cinematic gamers who want the best contrast and the fastest response in a desk-friendly 26.5-inch size will enjoy it the most. It also suits enthusiasts who watch films and play story-driven games in a dim room and value inky blacks.
Who Should Consider Alternatives?
Buyers who want built-in speakers, USB-C connectivity or a larger screen should look elsewhere. Anyone who works with static spreadsheets and documents for long hours, or who needs to keep costs down, will be better served by a high-refresh IPS monitor.

Editorial Verdict
The ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDM is built for people who care how their games look and feel. Its QHD OLED panel gives genuinely deep blacks, strong contrast and rich colour, while the 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time keep fast action crisp. The 26.5-inch size is a good match for QHD and for competitive play at normal desk distance, and the stand adjusts the way gamers expect. The gaming tools are useful, from Shadow Boost to GameFast Input, and the eye-care certifications are a bonus. The trade-offs are real, though. There are no built-in speakers, there is no USB-C video input, and the HDMI ports are limited to version 2.0. Like any OLED, it asks for sensible habits with static content, so it is better as a gaming and entertainment screen than as an all-day office monitor. It also costs far more than an ordinary gaming display. For dedicated gamers who play in dim rooms and want the best image quality, it is an excellent choice. For mixed work or tighter budgets, a good IPS monitor will make more sense.
